REED CITY — Taking advantage of the pleasant, pre-summer weather, Reed City Middle School students celebrated the last week of school by getting out on the field and partaking in outdoor activities.
Taking place on Reed City football field last Thursday, middle school students gathered for Field Day where participated in a variety of activities at different stations that were designed to get them up and moving.
Activities included long jump, shot put, tug-of-war, relay, an obstacle course and others.
Field Day — a group effort organized by school staff — has become an annual event for middle school students in Reed City.
While the high school held its Field Day last week, it was the first Field Day held for the middle school on the athletic grounds since they were renovated last year, which students and teachers said they were happy to return to.
