REED CITY — Memorial Day festivities took over the streets of Reed City Monday.
Beginning at the Reed City Depot, participants traveled west on Upton Avenue, crossing Chestnut Street.
The procession stopped at the corner of Upton and Park Street for lying of the wreath at Osceola County Court House memorial.
Traveling further west on Upton to Sears Street, and then to Lincoln Avenue, the parade ended at Woodland Cemetery with a speech given by the Rev. Michael Hodges about sacrifice and remembrance. Ceremonies concluded with the Reed City High School Band performing several patriotic songs.
