REED CITY — With the holiday season just around the corner, Reed City will be hosting the annual Evergreen Festival.
The festival will kick off with a parade at 1 p.m. with line up starting at the corner of Sears Street and Franklin Avenue.
There will be a cash prize awarded to the best float after the parade in the Reed City Depot.
After the parade kids will be able to have their picture taken with Santa from 1:30 to 3 p.m. outside the depot before heading inside to decorate cookies and sip hot cocoa. Santa will be accompanied by Mrs. Claus, his elves and reindeer.
Once kids have had their chance to take pictures and decorate their homemade Christmas cookies, a tree lighting will be held on Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
Throughout the two-day festivities, there will be an arts and craft show starting at 9 a.m. in the Reed City High School with around 100 vendors for patrons to shop at.
The Festival will take place in Reed City on Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
