EVART — RaeAnn Florence Adams, of Evart, Michigan, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, April 4, 2018. She left this life as she came in, loved fiercely and deeply by family and friends.
Born September 25, 1956, to Charles Ray and Ida Maxine (White) Adams, RaeAnn attended Evart High School, was more or less a life-long resident of Evart and was a proud U.S. Army veteran (serving during the war in Vietnam). But, to the many, many of us who loved her, she was so much more than that. She was a force of nature: a mom, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a friend. She was, quite simply, everything to everyone (whether we always liked it or not).
RaeAnn is survived by her “Booger,” a.k.a. daughter Rikka (fiancé Blaine Myers) Bos; her “One-and-Only,” a.k.a. son, Remington (fiancé Amanda Bart) Filkins; her “Girl Friday,” a.k.a. granddaughter, Rileigh Bos; her “Big Brother,” Rock Adams; her sister and best friend, Renee Adams; her beloved “Aged Aunt,” Clara Ann Carpenter; countless “crazy” cousins; several “favorite” nieces and nephews; and at least a million and one friends.
She led a complicated life, but she was funny, wicked smart, selfless, and (whether she believed it or not) gorgeous. She will not just be remembered, but revered. Her impact, her grace, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave forever changed those around her, and she will forever live on in our hearts.
A “Celebration of Life” honoring RaeAnn is in its planning stage and will be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Reynolds Township Cemetery, Montcalm County, Michiga
