EVART — Joanne Blanche Shortsle of Evart passed away peacefully with her daughter and sister at her side Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Autumnwood of McBain. She was 73.
Joanne was born March 31, 1945 in Cadillac to William and Emma Ruth (Kurtz) Richardson. She was a lifelong Evart resident who graduated from Evart High School in 1963. Joanne had worked at Evart Products and attended the Sears United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, flower gardening and crafts.
Mrs. Shortsle is survived by her daughter, Deann (Monte) Fryett of Tomah, Wis.; three grandchildren, Tanner, Seth and Brea; three sisters, Sally (Fred) Mayle of Alanson, Mich., Ethel (Jerry) Clark of Battle Creek, Mich., Ruby Mejorado of College Place, Wash.; and a brother, Thomas Hepler of Addy, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services for Joanne Blanche Shortsle are 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor James Martin officiating. Visitation is 11 a.m. Monday until the time of services. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart, Mich.
