EVART — Donalee Mary David, of Evart, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was 89.
Mrs. David was born May 19, 1929, in Lansing, Michigan, to John and Catherine (Beech) Decker. She married Elias Wilbur David Sr. on June 8, 1945, and he preceded her in death July 6, 2007. Elias and Donalee moved to Evart from Lansing in 1968. She was a member of the Evart Free Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts and doing puzzles.
Donalee is survived by her two sons, John C. (Carol) David of Lansing, Elias W. (Reta) David Jr. of Bath; four grandchildren, Amy, Teresa, Cathy, and Sarah; 13 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Kenneth Decker of Lansing, and David (Marilyn) Parkhouse of Six Lakes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elias Sr., two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services honoring the life of Donalee Mary David will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with Pastor Mark Bullock officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 26, at the funeral home. Interment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, at North Eagle Cemetery, Eagle Township, Clinton County, Michigan.
